Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of a comprehensive and progressive institutional strategic plan, including outcomes and performance assessment systems and related processes. He/she implements best practices that create, support and foster a culture of evidence, accountability and continuous quality improvement across the College. He/she architects and implements planning and assessment processes and, in concert with the College's institutional research department, assures adequate data support and analysis to inform institutional decision making, policy development, management, planning, effectiveness assessment and continuous quality improvement. He/she provides leadership, administrative, fiscal, and supervisory oversight of the Office of Planning and Effectiveness. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Vice President for Administrative Services. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervises administrative/analyst support staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM Qualifications:
1. Master's Degree and /or three years of demonstrated experience in higher education planning and measurement or a like endeavor within a college setting.
2. Strong organizational, analytical, and management skills.
3. Experience in facilitation skills and team building techniques.
4. Proven track record designing, implementing, and coordinating others to participate in systems and process reengineering and improvement.
5. Fully knowledgeable re: higher education planning and assessment approaches/models and supportive forms of research/analysis.
6. Excellent management, supervisory/leadership and analytical skills.
7. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work well with others, make presentations, and prepare clear, coherent written instructions and documents.
8. Understanding of current issues and trends in higher education, the region, and at the institutional level.
9. Ability to coordinate a broad range of activities and projects and multitask effectively.
10. Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with students, administrators, faculty, staff, governmental agencies and the public.
11. Possesses computer skills that result in the appropriate reporting and communication of data-based information.
Additional Information:
SALARY:
Full time position benefited position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Anticipated starting salary range is $70,000-$80,000/year.
